Help Request for Mariyan - Cancer Patient #1555 Mariyan T A is 52 years old and is a resident of Alappuzha district. He was diagnosed with Colon cancer in 2022, and has been fighting the disease since then. He is married and has two kids. Mariyan was a factory worker prior to the diagnosis, and has not been able to work due to the disabilities caused by the grave disease. Thus, the family is without a constant income. His treatment expenses and the needs of the family has been going forward with the kindness of various helpful people. Mariyan is currently undergoing chemotherapy to keep the disease under control. Support 44 students for back to school needs #1563 This special request is to support back to school needs of children from families with physically handicapped/disabled members. While some children are suffering from autism, many have parents who are paraplegic, either by birth or due to accidents. We have supported many of these families in the past (cases 1081, 1276, 1413). Many families are struggling in a post Covid world unable to sell their crafts and experiencing diminishing contributions from local donors. As the schools are re-opening, 78 families are seeking financial aid to distribute supplies and textbooks, along with payment of school fees for 44 students. Construction of a small house #1559 Martin Jaybin Nunez (Palliparambil house, Nettoor P.O Ernakulam Kerala PIN 682040. ) lives with his wife and nine children in a dilapidated house. He has got permission from the Municipality for the construction of a new small house with 640 sq.ft. at the cost of Rs.10 Lakhs in a plot of 3.5 cents. The municipality will give Rs.4 lakhs. He can manage about Rs.2 Lakhs from the help of some generous people. It is very hard for him to find the remaining amount of Rs.4 Lakhs. The income that Martin gets from the work of sofa repair and curtain setting is not enough daily household expenses . Besides he has to seek the help of other people in managing the expenses of the education of the children. In this context he is approaching Help Save Life for financial assistance for the construction of the house. I have personally visited the house and I was really astonished when I saw the pitiable condition of the house where this family lives. REQUEST FOR COMSEETHA KURIAN FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES #1541 Comseetha and Kurian, a poor daily worker/painter family is in need of financial help for their ongoing medical treatment and upcoming surgery expenses for wife Comseetha. Kurian, bread winner of the family, met with an accident in April of 2023 and suffered a fractured neck bone. He was bed ridden and was not able to work and was recovering slowly. And in November 2023 Comseetha (45) developed a severe stomach pain and was diagnosed with complication with small intestine and a growth in the stomach. She underwent immediate surgery to cut the small intestine and attach the bag. Later she was diagnosed with lump/growth in the uterus. She is scheduled to undergo the surgery to remove the small intestine and the uterus. They have a daughter Steffa who is 15 years old. Kurian recovered mostly now; but unable to go to work since he is the one who is helping Comseetha. They are seeking the medical treatment in Medical College in Alappuzha. They have been supported financially by friends, family, and compassionate individuals like you to meet the medical expenses. They are still falling short and struggling to meet the much-needed medical expense and help. They have no source of income to meet the very high and demanding medical expenses.
