Dear Friends, This request is for a father and head of family (Gopi 67 years old from Cherupuzha, Kannur, Kerala) requested by his eldest son, Renjith. Gopi is an acute diabetic patient. He lost function of one his kidneys completely. The other kidney is at 40% functioning capacity only. He has severe wounds due to diabetes on both of his knees. Recently he suffered a stroke, and is currently admitted in Father Muller's hospital in Mangalore. The elder son Renjith was working as a pharmacist at an ayurvedic medicals until recently. Now due to the commitments for treatment of his father, he is unable to go for that job. Now he is depending on occasional daily wage labors. His wife is working in Kannur and that is the only income for the family but she has educational loan commitments and commitments in her own family. His younger brother is a student at Mangalore. So, Renjith is taking the sole responsibility of the family. When Gopi was admitted originally for kidney disease, they spent Rs. 4.5 lakhs and now looking at another 3.5 lakhs bills for current treatments. This huge amount was unaffordable for this family. In this situation they are seeking our help. Please consider extending a helping hand to this family.
